'''Detarnayappa''' is an enemy from ''[[Mega Man 9]]''. It is a pit-dwelling robot with two guns on either side.

Detarnayappa was first made available with the [[Megamix Engine]], and subsequently the devkits for ''[[Make a Good Mega Man Level 3]]'' and ''[[Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level]]''.

==Behavior==
Detarnayappas are spawned from dedicated spawner objects, which create a Detarnayappa when [[Mega Man]] moves close enough to them. Once spawned, Detarnayappas fly upwards until they're roughly level with Mega Man; at which point, they will slowly drop back down. While falling down, it will occasionally shoot two projectiles out from either side.

Detarnayappa spawners have a few creation code variables:
* interval - The number of frames that pass between Detarnayappa spawns.
* activationDistance - Determines how close Mega Man needs to be before Detarnayappas will spawn.
* dir - When set to 1, spawned Detarnayappas will have their flight movement inverted (falling from the top before slowly flying back up).
* col - Determines the colour of the spawned Detarnayappa (0 = green (default), 1 = red).
