The Guts Lift is a gimmick in the original Mega Man, found in Guts Man's stage. It is a rail platform able to fold down.
Guts Lifts were first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where they appeared in the entries Sunset Siege, Hard to See Land, Maze of Death, and Citadel Basement, as well as the Wily stages Hall of Fame and Flashback Database.
Guts Lifts returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where they appeared in 12 entries, as well as the Wily stages Inner Sanctum and Reality Core, the Tier X stages Deep Thoughts, Swiss Hotel, and Null and Void, and the Pit of Pits sub-levels "Citadel Basement Shenanigans", "Ja", "Maze of Death?", and "Spinning Top Disposal Room". Conveyor Mayhem also includes a special variant of the Guts Lift known as the Active Guts Lift.
Behavior
Guts Lifts travel along rails, folding down when over a rail hole. When a Guts Lift is folded down, Mega Man cannot stand on it.
Active Guts Lifts act almost identically to Guts Lifts, with the only difference being that they must be stood on before they start moving.
