"A fat bird from Uranus. It spits Chuncos out the nest on its head and fires three shots at a time."
―Note in Birdy's code, Megamix Engine

Birdy is an enemy from Mega Man V. It is a fat bird robot that produces Chuncos and releases them from the nest on top of its head, while attacking foes with projectiles.

Birdy was first made available via the release of the Megamix Engine, and made its debut in the devkits for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level. However, its first game appearance was Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, where it appeared in Offshore Hangar Cluster and Null and Void.

Behavior

Birdy stands still, periodically firing shots in volleys of three to attack Mega Man. It also spawns a Chunco from its nest; so long as the Chunco remains active, the Birdy that made it will not produce any more until the Chunco is destroyed.
