Peat is an enemy from Mega Man 6. It is a robot bird modeled after Beat that hatches from eggs.

Peat was first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the Pit of Pits sub-level "Typical Miniboss Fights". In Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, a single Peat named Lt. Sinc appeared as an NPC in Sarge's Special Weapons Bootcamp (where it apologises for the lack of a Beat tutorial), but as an enemy it went completely unused.

Peat returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, but aside from one stage reskinning it, it went completely unused throughout the entire game. However, a single Peat appears in Tier 4 as an NPC.

Behavior

Peats will slowly rise up from their spawning position while inside an egg. If the egg reaches a certain position or takes damage, it will hatch, and the Peat inside will fly towards Mega Man.

Peats will be spawned regardless of how many are destroyed or fly offscreen. The only way to stop the Peats from despawning is to position an X Block over their spawning point.
