Magnetic Shockwave (マグネティックショックウェーブ Magunetikku Shokkuwēbu) is a super move from the Marvel Vs. Capcom series of fighting games, normally used by Magneto and Onslaught. It is a wave of magnetic blasts that deal heavy amounts of damage. In Mega Man's arcade mode ending from Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, he is shown getting Magnetic Shockwave as a special weapon from Onslaught, and he can use Magnetic Shockwave as a super move in the Playstation port of the game.
Make a Good Mega Man Level 3
Magnetic Shockwave is one of the weapons voted to appear in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3. Like in Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, it covers a very large portion of the screen (roughly 1/4 of it). The weapon can pass through walls and be used in the air, and it can pierce shields.
Trivia
- Magnetic Shockwave is the first weapon voted to appear in a MaGMML game that did not originate from a classic Mega Man game.
- Magnetic Shockwave was first publicly shown in the first Devkit Boss Rush video for MaGMML3, where it behaved very differently. It was a chargeable weapon, with uncharged shots releasing a single blast in front of Mega Man, and fully-charged shots moving along the ground and walls.
