Merserker is an enemy from Mega Man 10. It is a rocket-powered robot modelled after an axe, complete with a sharp blade.
Merserker was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for all games using it. Its debut MaGMML game was Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entry Spicy Banana Bread Storehouse. It reappered in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3; in the entry The King's Lair, the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "#MERSERKERRISK", "Copse and Bobbers", "Crawling Castle", "Mizzling the Point", and "Too Cheap To Pay Brendan Fraser", and the Shrine of Nebula room "Castle of Diamonds".
Contents
Behavior
Merserkers fly diagonally in the air, before stopping at a certain distance and flying straight down to the ground. It repeats this pattern until it is a specific distance beyond its origin, at which point it will turn back.
Merserkers have several creation code variables:
- leftLimit & rightLimit - Set how many jumps away from its starting point that a Merserker can go.
- fallSpeed - Sets how quickly a Merserker falls to the ground.
- jumpSpeed - Sets how quickly a Merserker flies when jumping.
- jumpDistance - Sets how high up a Merserker can fly before stopping and dropping.
- moveSpeed - Sets how quickly a Merserker flies horizontally.
- moveDistance - Sets how far a Merserker can travel in a single jump.
