The Shadow Gimmick is a gimmick in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, found in the entry Haunt Man and the Wily stage Reality Core. It completely hides all terrain, while casting shadows of it and entities onto a blank wall in the background.
Behavior
When a Shadow Gimmick is in play, the foreground terrain will be rendered completely invisible, while a wall in the background will have shadows of the terrain cast onto it. In addition, Mega Man himself will have a shadow on the wall, as will enemies and items. To navigate the invisible terrain, the wall must be used to see where to go, and where certain entities are in relation to each other.
