Stegorus is an enemy from Mega Man 7. It is a giant robotic Stegosaurus that can switch its head and tail.

Stegorus was first included in the Megamix Engine, and as such was a devkit enemy in all games using it. Its first appearance in a MaGMML game was Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, where it appeared in the level Null and Void. It returned in Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, in the levels Ancient Ziggurat, Slipping Through Time, and Pandora's Parlor.

Behavior

A Stegorus will slowly walk back and forth, changing the direction it faces by switching its head and tail rather than turning around. As the Stegorus walks, it will occasionally stop to attack Mega Man. If the Stegorus is facing Mega Man, it will toss three blades that roll along the ground; otherwise, it will fire two homing missiles. Most weapons can only damage Stegorus at the head.

Stegorus has two creation code values:

  • leftLimit - How far Stegorus can move to the left of its starting position, in pixels. Default value is 32 pixels.
  • rightLimit - How far Stegorus can move to the right of its starting position, in pixels. Default value is 16 pixels.
