Overview

The Fall is the 76th placed entry in Make A Good Mega Man Level Contest 2, placed in Tier 1. The stage features a short fall down a shaft with tadpoles as well as a Yoku Block section over tiles with confusing collision.

Strategy

During The Fall, there will be the occasional Pole enemy you have to dodge, but their locations are marked with X's right before you start falling. If you stay to the right wall at all times you will not be hit, though you fall so fast that you can't be hurt by more than two of them unless you purposely slow your descent anyway.

The Yoku Block section is simple, though the tileset is confusing. Remember that only the floor and the blue brick blocks are solid.

It started out pretty decently, but afterwards, it just kinda fell apart... what happened? D: As for the part that lives up to the level's name, I feel like the X-indicators should've been introduced in a safer environment before the long drop, as I didn't know what to interpret them as until I was halfway through the fall. The part after I can barely take seriously due to its background messages and overall messy structure. Kind of a shame :c

This level could've been much better. To put it simply, it sucks. It's not frustrating or anything, but it's very poorly done. The level design feels random and the stage layout isn't any better. In addition, I don't appreciate the random messages using tiles, and even then the graphics are lackluster and the stage just had to use default music. Anyway, it's not a stage I like, and much more effort could have been put into it.

Trivia

  • There is no instant death in this level, as it features neither spikes, Force Beams, nor bottomless pits.
  • Use of Jewel Satellite and Super Arrow can completely trivialize this stage. Therefore, it is recommended that you complete Challenges 14 and 17 here.
