Dark Man 4 is a boss from Mega Man 5. The fourth and last of the Dark Man series of robots, Dr. Wily created Dark Man 4 for two purposes; destroy Mega Man (obviously), and frame Proto Man for his latest world domination scheme. To this end, he has the firepower of Dark Man 1, the electromagnetic barriers of Dark Man 2, and the jumping capability of Dark Man 3. Unlike the others, he can also send his shields out as an attack, speed up their rotation, and disguise himself as any target.
He was added as a boss in the Megamix Engine, and therefore will appear in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level as a devkit boss. Notably, he has a customisable introduction where he can appear disguised as the player, as Proto Man (complete with off-key whistle), as someone or something else, or skipping a disguise altogether. He also appears as the final boss of the Megamix Engine's Example Game if the difficulty is set to Normal.

Battle
Dark Man 4 will randomly pick between two attacks:
- Fire three projectiles straight forward while his electromagnetic barriers spin around him.
- Release the electromagnetic barriers, causing them to fly off the sides of the screen, then jump to Mega Man's position before the electromagnetic barriers return to Dark Man 4.
