The Thunder Trap is a gimmick hailing from the original Contra. It is an electric field used to deter intruders in Red Falcon bases, though contact with the electric bolt merely stuns a person briefly.

In Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, Thunder Traps appear as a gimmick in the stage Contra Base. Now adapted for a 2D sidescrolling perspective instead of a pseudo-3D one, Thunder Traps now do straightforward contact damage instead of temporary paralysis.

Behavior

A Thunder Trap emits from a wall, similarly to an Elec Block. However, they can have a longer reach, and will never turn off, regardless of how much time passes or (as in the original Contra) how many Shouds are destroyed. If Zero touches it, he will receive contact damage.
