"Chuckmagnet" is an enemy from Rockman & Forte: Mirai Kara no Chousensha. It is a flying robot that spins its body while in the air.
Chuckmagnet was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level. Its first appearance in a completed game was with Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, where it saw use in Subterranean Stronghold.
Behavior
Chuckmagnet flies in a sine wave pattern in one direction, based on the side of the screen it spawns on. When its face turns toward the camera, it will ignore Mega Man's attacks, requiring precise timing to be destroyed. This small window of vulnerability is, however, counterbalanced by its fragility (with one shot destroying it).
Notes
- The name "Chuckmagnet" stems from the :chuckmagnet_face: emote on the MaGMML Discord (itself stemming from a glitch in the "Chuck Magnet" level in the Super Mario World romhack JUMP), which the face of this enemy coincidentally resembles.
